These photos are from our first Midlands Striper Club Youth Tournament held Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Jakes Landing. What a great event...made possible by lots of hard work from President Lee Thomas, his wife Kathy and a long list of generous sponsors, including Archie Trawick, owner of Jakes and our host for the event! Torrents of rain failed to dampen the spirits of the kids participating in our annual MSC Youth Angler Tournament held out of Jakes Landing May 18. What a great event...made possible by lots of hard work from President Lee Thomas, his wife Kathy and a long list of generous sponsors, including MSC member Ben Lanza D.P.M, Andrew Spiegel, Spiegel Distributors, Frito-Lay and True-Green/Chemlawn. Thanks to Archie Trawick of Jakes Landing for allowing us to launch and to Lee and Kathy Thomas, who work tirelessly for our club!
1st place was won by Mary Mattox, 2nd place by Clint Cobb and 3rd Place went to Lea Cobb. Lea also was our Big Fish winner with a 9-pound striper.
