  MSC is a family-oriented fishing club organized to stimulate public awareness of striped bass fishing. We promote sportmanship, conservation and demand adequate water quality. We're based in Columbia, S.C. on beautiful Lake Murray. 
   Tournaments are held on the third Saturday of each month, with times following safe light conditions. Membership fee is currenty $30 per year for the entire family or $15 after July 1st. If you wish to join, you may download an application form in Adobe Acrobat Reader format here. (NOTE: MSC does not mail a membership packet. Copies of Bylaws and Tournament Rules are available at our regular club meetings, including the latest club map for Lake Murray. Nichols Store Big Fish:
Team Rocky Bottom
         Midlands Striper Club's April Tournament was held out of Acapulco Landing on Lake Murray. 24 Teams participated with 23 teams weighing in fish. 64 striped bass were brought to the scales at an average weight of 5.78 lbs. versus the March average of 6.24 lbs.
    For the third time in a row Team Rocky Bottom, captained by Townsend Wessinger, finished first with 4 stripers weighing 39.23 lbs. Their winning total weighed almost 9 pounds more than the 2nd place team. Team Rocky Bottom, also for the third time in a row, caught the Nichols Store of Rock Hill Big Fish, a striped bass weighing in at 15.42 pounds.
    In 2nd place was Team Landlocked with a 4-fish limit weighing 30.92 lbs. Team Jon Boy placed 3rd with their 4-fish creel weighing 26.75 lbs. 11th Place was won by Team Catchall and 18th Place was captured by Team Hard of Herring.
    The event's Small Creel award went to Team Shipwreck. The event's Youth Angler trophy was won by Kaitlyn Pittman of Team Pitt Crew. Debbie Alewine, no stranger to the winners' circle, won the April Lady Angler trophy.
