MSC is a family-oriented fishing club organized to stimulate public awareness of striped bass fishing. We promote sportmanship, conservation and demand adequate water quality. We're based in Columbia, S.C. on beautiful Lake Murray.
Tournaments are held on the third Saturday of each month, with times following safe light conditions. Membership fee is currenty $30 per year for the entire family or $15 after July 1st. (By fishing in a tournament sponsored by Midlands Striper Club, each participant , whether member or guest, recognizes that Midlands Striper Club is not responsible for any participant's safety. Program: Jason Bettinger of SCDNR discusses his Clarks Hill striper tagging study. The purpose of the study is to determine the impact on striped bass of the pump back stations at the top of the lake as well as the new oxygenation system . DON'T MISS THIS!

MSC's monthly team tournament was held February 15th out of Acapulco boat landing on Lake Murray. Team Rocky Bottom, captained by Townsend Wessinger, took 1st Place and the Nichols Store Big Fish award for their 17.96 lb. striper.
In second was Team Striper Amigos, and 3rd Place was won by 2013 TOTY Team Landlocked. Team Seeing Stripes finished in11th place and Team Reel Obsession had the event's smallest creel. The Youth Angler trophy went to Jacob Caulder of Team Catch 22 and the Lady Angler trophy went to former AOTY & LAOTY Debbie Alewine of Team Jon Boy.
